The Most Stressful Time of The Year

What some call the most wonderful time of the year is also the most stressful year of all: THE HOLIDAYS. According to Pew Research Center, almost 9 in 10 Americans celebrate Christmas. During the holidays, it becomes very overwhelming because of dealing with the pressures of a money budgets and obtaining gifts for those you love. The average American in 2016 spent $929 on holiday shopping. This Christmas season it is predictable that the average American will spend $1100. It can be difficult deciding on gifts and figuring out how much to spend.

“Last Christmas I couldn’t decide what to get my friends, so I got them all the same thing – a goody bag full of face masks and soups,” said Anna Fortenberry.

Most  gifts are returned, with over 19% of of them being returned the week after Christmas. Not only do we stress out about gifts, but what about the decorating and the cooking that comes with it?  Family can also be quite stressful.

“My family can always stress me out, but in the end, they are the ones who relieve my stress,” said Mckinley Ward.

Despite the stress, the holidays is the best time to bring the family together, remembering how great it is to keep being around the ones you love and giving to others during the holidays.
