On January 9th, our Fellowship of Christian Athletes  hosted a fundraiser powderpuff night.  Enthusiastic groups of girls from each grade level formed teams to have a night on the football field that will be remembered for a long time.

The powderpuff games were originally supposed to be played on December 5 and because of field conditions, the game was cancelled and moved four more times before it could finally be played on January 9.

“Because of the cancellations, difficulties surrounded the girls who were starting winter sports and spring conditioning. It also affected the loss of preparations and practices, which led us to forgetting our plays,” commented Mrs. McDowell.

“I was really inspired to bring back powderpuff because I wanted to play all of high school. Coach Satterwhite and I had the idea of making it a fundraiser and pulled it together even with all the cancellations because of the rain. We had lots of fun and we hope for just as great as a turnout next year!” commented Jordan Morris.

Junior Katie Kulick added, “Powderpuff was something new and exciting! I had so much fun playing, and I hope this will continue next year.”

Overall, the powderpuff games were a great turn out and fundraiser for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We look forward to next year’s games!
