I Told The Stars About You

I told the stars about you,

But they were jealous of your beauty,

And your brightness,

So they stole you away to the heavens,

And now my sadness is all too true.

I told the ocean about you,

But it was jealous of your sea green eyes,

And of how I got lost in you instead of it,

So it stole you away to Atlantis

And now my sadness is all too true.

I told God about you,

But unlike the stars and the ocean,

He was not jealous of my excitement,

He told me to love you like he loved us,

And now, my happiness is true.
