Just recently in mid-November, sightings of drones flying over busy areas have been becoming more and more common. In the beginning, it was specifically right around New York and New Jersey.
Throughout the United States there are many drone laws relating to both residential and commercial drones. According to the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States, law enforcement drones have features that make them identifiable, specifically at night. Things such as lights and specific noises.
Many people have conflicting opinions on the subject. A large number of people believe that there is more to the story than what is being told.
Offering the “balloon” from China as an example.
That being a foreign object with not much information about it was shot out of the sky with an impressive time. So that brings the question that if we don’t know about the drones, why aren’t we doing anything about them?
“It’s just confusing that the government is so quick to act with other foreign endeavors, but they are practically radio silent with the sightings,” said senior Brooke Geoghegan.
According to WFMZ-TV in New Jersey, there have been 283 reports since the first one in November.
Yet some people believe that it is being kept so quiet because there is nothing to be concerned about as we go about our daily lives.
“I don’t really care because it doesn’t really bother me,” stated Joe Ober, a senior at Carolina Forest High School.
So then that leaves the opinion up to you. Is something big going on under the surface? Or is it just a simple test of technology.
