Congratulations to Mrs. Jill Barnhill for being awarded the Support Staff of the Year! Mrs. Barnhill, an administrative assistant, does many things for our school. Her office is located beside Ms. Driggers, our principal.
Ms. Driggers shared, “Gentle, compassionate, and endlessly positive, Jill Barnhill infuses our school community with an energy and commitment to excellence. Her contributions enhance daily experiences of both staff and visitors, perfectly capturing the spirit of care and that defines Carolina Forest High School.”
On a daily basis, she works closely with Ms, Driggers to assist in so many ways. She welcomes parents and visitors to our school, takes care of the calendar scheduling, and even helps in the cafeteria if they are short-handed. She is thoughtful, caring, and loves the students.
“It means a lot to be recognized for all of the work I do. I love my job, and I hope it shows each day!”, shared Mrs. Barnhill. “My favorite part is definitely the students and getting to know them throughout the years they are here at the Forest. That is a huge highlight for me,” said Mrs. Barnhill.
Outside of school, Mrs. Barnhill loves spending time with her family and friends, along with going camping and spending time at the racetrack. She also enjoys photography. Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite foods are hibachi and pizza. Traveling is also a passion, as long as she has Daisy May (her dog) and her camper.
“My responsibility is to represent my district, my principal, and my school to the best of my ability. I am a first face to parents and visitors a lot of times, and I help in any way I can, and first impressions mean a great deal,” shared Barnhill.
Mrs. Amy Meehan, our guidance secretary, stated, “Jill is compassionate and always willing to help others. She is one of the most reliable people I know and has a tremendous work ethic. She is passionate about her job and loves her CFHS community! I can continue all day with nothing but wonderful things to say about Jill. We are very blessed to have her on our team.”
Congratulations to Mrs. Barnhill!
