Country music is known for its strong narratives and emotional themes. It tends to focus on everyday life and genuine experiences. Instruments like acoustic guitars, fiddles, and banjos gives it a distinct and appealing sound. For many, especially in the South and Midwest, country music is part of a cultural identify. It’s a way of expressing pride in roots and community. As summer is approaching, many upcoming country music events will be happening up and down the coast. Overall, music oftentimes can also serve as therapy for many people. It can also boost your mood. The perfect combo for the summer is soaking up the sun and listening to music.
The annual Carolina Country Music Festival will be held in Myrtle Beach, SC on June 5-9. Some of the main headliners include; Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, and Kid Rock. In upstate SC near Anderson, there will be a Rock the Country Music Festival on July 25 and 26. The main headliners include; Kid Rock and Nickelback.
Senior Ella Monday commented, “I saw Parker McCollum in Charleston, and it was such a fun time. He did such a good job getting the crowd involved. Concerts bring me so much joy.”
The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex Amphitheater are holding free concerts from June through September. Many artists will be performing at The House of Blues. Another little place that holds many concerts is The Landing at the Boathouse. Popular artist Ty Myers will be performing there on July 20 at 5 p.m. Thomas Rhett will be performing at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park on July 31, 2025.
Riley Green is performing at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park on June 14. Jason Aldean will be performing at the same place on August 21.
Junior Anna Kate Hamilton exclaimed, “I go to CCMF every year, and it’s always a fun time. I really like how it kicks off the summer. Summer is always filled with concerts!”
One of the hit concerts to end the season will be in Charleston, SC with Megan Moroney performing on September 12, 2025. Summertime is a prime season of all genre music concerts.
