A Night in New Orleans – 2018 Prom Stats

The Prowler surveyed a random group of 11th and 12th grade students who will be attending Carolina Forest High School’s A Night In New Orleans Prom, asking various questions concerning prom trends. Here are the results:

 

The top five songs students are hoping to hear at the prom are:

  1. “Look Alive” by Bloccboy JB and Drake
  2. “God’s Plan” by Drake
  3. “Stir Fry” by Migos
  4. “Dancing Queen” by Abba
  5. “Wobble” by V.I.C.

 

We asked the group of students how much time they will spend getting ready for the prom.

Based on the surveys, the top restaurants for dinner before prom are:

  1. Olive Garden
  2. Ruth’s Chris
  3. King Kong Sushi
  4. Yomato

 

We asked the group of students to estimate how much they will spend on all their prom essentials.

 

The top ten colors to wear to prom are:

  1. Black
  2. Red
  3. Blue
  4. White
  5. Pink
  6. Tan
  7. Green
  8. Purple
  9. Gray
  10. Yellow

 

After the prom, there tends to be people who will stay up all night long, and then the ones who will crash as soon as they get home. We asked the group of surveyed students what their sleeping plans are after the prom.

8% say, “I’m going to bed as soon as I get home.”

30% will stay up 1-3 hours after prom.

11% will stay up 4-6 hours after prom.

The remaining 51% say, “I’m pulling an all-nighter!”
