In Real Life Concert Review
October 29, 2018
On October 6, I spent my Saturday night singing my heart out and dancing to my favorite boy band songs. I finally got to see In Real Life in concert at the Music Farm in Charleston with my sister.
In Real Life is a boyband that not many people recognize. They began their journey on an ABC show called Boyband. It was a singing and dancing competition to win a spot in America’s next boyband. The five boys who won about one year ago, Brady, Michael, Chance, Drew and Sergio, are now called In Real Life. They have released many singles, and their first tour just ended.
They had two openers, Spencer Sutherland and Jagmac. I really enjoyed both of their music. Jagmac even did karate on stage!
In Real Life came on stage singing their first song “Eyes Closed.” They were actually wearing the outfits that they were wearing the night they won the competition.
As soon as they stepped on the stage, they created a heart-throbbing presence among the excited crowd. Their dance moves were perfectly synchronized. In Real Life performed covers of boy bands from generations past like the Backstreet Boys, the Jonas Brothers, and One Direction. They also sang all of their songs.
Michael from the band is not only an amazing singer and dancer, but he also raps and plays the violin. He had a rap solo and a violin solo at the concert. They even incorporated the violin into one of their original songs.
Overall, I really enjoyed this concert. It was a very small crowd, but that just made it more intimate and even better. We were so close to the boys. In Real Life should be more well known. If more people knew about them, they would love their music. It is very upbeat, and their voices mesh well together.
I have a feeling In Real Life is going to be the next pop sensation.
