Busch Gardens Howl-O-Screams

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is an amusement park by day. However, during the month of September and October, it transformed into a haunted attraction called Howl-O-Screams. It had haunted houses, scare zones, and entertainment. Busch Garden even had a Sesame Street Halloween party for little kids, starring Elmo and his friends.

There were a total of seven haunted houses. This year Busch Gardens celebrated their 20-year anniversary for Howl-O-Screams.  Busch Gardens brought back some classic characters in the haunted house called The Vault XX. Some characters were The Executioner from Dark Tower, Mummy from Curse of Pompeii, Pirate Captain Ghost from Sea Dog Cemetery, Little Dead Riding Hood from Deadtime Stories, and Werewolf from Hunted.

My family and I travel all the way to Virginia every year to experience something new. This year’s Scarefest was the best they had so far. As we were walking around Howl-O-Screams at night terrified of what lurked around the corners, I can say it was quite petrifying and much fun. It was dark and foggy, and we couldn’t see anything around us. It is definitely worth a six hour road trip.
