After the astounding release of the biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, the world-renowned band, Queen is making their comeback on stage.
British singer-songwriter, Freddie Mercury, their lead singer passed away in 1991. He was known for being one of the greatest lead singers in the history of rock music. Mercury was also well known for his flamboyant behavior.
Famous singer Adam Lambert, the 2009 second place winner of American Idol, is now frontman in the revived band. He has sold over 3 million albums and 5 million singles worldwide.
The ‘Rhapsody Tour’ is set to begin on July 10th in Vancouver, Canada. It will take its final bows on August 23rd in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ticket prices range from a minimum of $200-250 to a maximum of $2,500-3,000.
“We have been designing a brand new visual spectacle that will reframe these iconic songs and we are excited to unveil it!” shared Lambert in an interview.
A few students at our school (including me) are fans of Queen.
Junior JT Rice shares that he has been a fan for as long as he can remember. “I grew up listening to them, and I always get a happy feeling when I listen to them,” he states.
There are numerous surprising changes for the new tour. It “expands the parameters of what a live music experience can be.” It is also promised to be “their most spectacular yet, an innovative and interactive celebration of the continued power of Queen’s music.”
Queen and Adam Lambert will rock you with their collaborative upcoming tour. Tickets may be crazy expensive, but of course, listening to them live and jamming out will definitely fulfill an energetic, fun-filled concert.
“I always knew I was a star and now the rest of the world seems to agree with me,” shares legend Freddie Mercury.
