During the first weekend of November, Carolina Forest High School Performing Arts Department put on the stage an incredible performance of Motown Gold. Showcase, Intermediate, and Women’s are the three choirs that performed at the annual fall show.

The show included solos, trios, and groups from various performers. CFHS show choir sang and danced to a variety of songs from “Moves like Jaggar”  by Maroon 5 to “You Can’t Stop the Beat” performed in Glee and Hairspray.

Our show choir works extremely hard to put on the best shows for our school, practicing several hours a week to execute a great performance.

Ashlyn Adcock a junior, explains, “We put in a lot of work, and the fall show always ends up being really fun. My favorite set was Motown because I love the 50s-60s music and dance style.”

The man behind all the hard work is Kraig McBroom, head of our Carolina Forests Show Choir Department.

McBroom explains, “I think the fall show went fantastic! They had big shoes to fill, and they did that and more. All three shows sold out; there was not one empty seat.”

“We went through many obstacles to put on the best show possible, and it was really fun,” added senior Brandon Pugh.

Senior Leigha Schaefer has been a part of show choir for the last two years of high school and has been dancing the majority of her life.

Schaefer added, “The fall show is so fun because there are so many fun, different songs, and I really think people enjoy it. I am sad this will be my last fall show, but I am looking forward to what is in store for show choir the rest of this year.”

“The fall show was so much fun, and I can’t wait for the next show this year!” exclaims junior Faith Wilson.

These Panther Show Choir members work hard for what the put on that stage, so be sure not to miss our Holiday Spectacular Show next month: December 13-15. To purchase tickets, please go to
