Getting Back Into The Groove

Not only has COVID 19 affected us in the world, it has also affected us in the school. Since March 2019, students all across the world have been digital learning, hybrid and some being completely virtual. We are finally starting to get back into the normal habits we used to have before the pandemic hit.

Before COVID 19, we were able to have lunch all together all at one time. Last week was our first week back having each grade go out and be able to eat lunch around campus. Ever since COVID, we have had lunch with our 3rd block class. While students are given the time  with others, being out with the peers in their class gives students the socialization that they need. Also our district has lifted the mask mandate. We no longer have to wear a mask.

Hayden Soles, a senior, added “It has been great to be able to get out and eat on the high school campus ever since we were not able to.”

Not only are we in school back to somewhat of a normalcy, we now can have full capacity at all sporting events. We are now able to have more clubs in person than we used to have. Not only are more clubs being established, but also some are being able to meet during lunch. The Show Choir was able to have their first show in quite some time.

Samantha Hein, a senior, added “Being back on the stage with some of my close friends and getting to perform once again has been amazing.”

Not only is the school back to normalcy but also places around the world. Concerts are now being opened back up to people. However,  now a person has to show proof of a negative Covid test or your vaccination card.

Could this be the new normal? Not only are concerts being opened back up but sporting events as well. This gives people something to look forward to as when before they were not able to attend or do some of the things that they can now.

Autumn Lowery attended a Harry Styles concert a couple months ago.

Lowery adds, “After COVID, there were many precautions, but other than those, it was like any other concert pre- Covid.”

Getting back into a little bit of normalcy has been a great thing for everyone.
