With spring on its way and love in the air, make sure to prepare for Sweetheart Week!

Valentine’s Day is knocking on our door and the Student Council has decided to get in the lovey dovey spirit by having a Sweetheart Week! 

Sweetheart Week consists of dress up days, class games, and a Sweetheart Court being announced during our class meetings! 

With Covid and newly discovered variants continuing to take a major effect in our school life, we are trying to make things as normal as we can by keeping up with some spring traditions.  , 

Student Body President Bayli Soles, shares,  “With everything going on right now, Student Council has found fun and exciting ways to involve the student body!” 

Hopefully, this is a step forward to getting back to normal. 

Our Sweetheart Court this year consist of these lovely couples:

Anthony Rivard(10)  and Kylie Hunt(10) – dating

London Armstrong and Jonathan Hidlago(9) – dating

Macy Pfizenmayer(11) and Connor Rothberg(10) – friends

Tanner Jemison(9) and Ireland Bridgeman(9) – friends

Taylor Kelley(10) and Chase Faulkner(10) – dating

Ethan Mischel(12) and Briona Huynh(12) – dating

These couples  were asked various questions in their application about their relationship, as well as why they would be the best couple to represent Carolina Forest High School.

Anthony Rivard and Kylie Hunt- “We would be the best couple because we actually found each right before Covid hit so we learned how to stay strong and stay together. We are known by a lot of people for how long and how well connected we are. During the days we also try to see each other during passing periods, and we never fail to not let each other down and we always look back to see how far we have come.”

London Armstrong and Jonathan Hidalgo- “I think we would be the best couple to represent CFHS because we are very close and are always hanging out and having a great time. We also both love school and to meet new friends as well as teachers.”

Macy Pfizenmayer and Connor Rothberg- “ We both are in Showcase which represents our love for the school and it’s programs. We are best friends and can turn any situation into a positive. We can make anyone smile, and that’s why we think we would make the best sweetheart couple.” 

Tanner Jemison and Ireland Bridgeman- “We get along, we tell each other everything, we do lots of things together, we are very supportive of each other, and overall, we are great friends and show what friends should be like.”

Taylor Kelley and Chase Faulkner- “We are the best couple to represent CFHS as your Sweethearts because a friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself, and relationships are always stronger when you are best friends first, and a couple second. We have just that. With each other, we are able to continue and do what the Panther Pledge says. We make each other feel special, loved, and worthy. We help each other focus on the positives rather than the negatives.”

Ethan Mischel and Briona Huynh- “We are the best couple to represent CFHS because we are most like-minded. We are basically the same person. We always make sure to play an active role in our community and uplift the ones around us. We also volunteer in many honors societies and different local organizations to better aid our community!”

Get ready to show off your Valentine’s Day spirit by participating in the dress up days! All of the dress up days are for all grade levels and teachers to participate and have fun. Please be aware that all participants in the dress up day must follow the school’s dress code. Our Sweetheart Week dress up days are as follows:

Monday: “Love For Your Favorite Team” – Give love to your favorite team by showing off

your gear!

Tuesday: “Twin Day”-  Match your friend or significant other!

Wednesday: “Status Day” – Wear red if you are taken, yellow if “it’s complicated,” and

green if you are single!

Thursday: “Show Love For Comfort” –  Wear your favorite school appropriate pajama

pants or sweatpants!

Friday:  “Cupid’s Colors” –  Wear red or pink!
