With the spooky season coming to a start, everyone’s looking for a good thrill. One of the best ways to get in the spooky mood is to go to a haunted house. The adrenaline rush from getting scared creates fun memories, especially when you are with friends and family.

In the state of South Carolina, there are many insane and terrifying haunted houses. All have many different attractions and rules. Some are scarier due to the fact that the actors can touch you while others have insane graphics. Some of the best, but farthest away, are Madworld Haunted House in Piedmont, Sweet Dreams Scare House in Easley and JC’s Frightmare in Blackstock. 

One of the more popular haunted houses in Myrtle Beach is Outbreak-Dread the Undead, located in the Hollywood Wax Museum. It is a military experiment gone wrong, causing soldiers to be turned into destructive zombies. They’re currently contained in a biotech lab, but it might lead to a worldwide viral outbreak. A single attraction ticket for ages 12+ for $19.99 and ages 4-11 for $9.99.

One of the best haunted houses in Horry County is Southern Palmetto Farm’s Fright Nights. With the small town vibe, come out for a night of scary times. They are open every Friday and Saturday night from 7:00-10:00. The Fright Night attraction ticket for $20.00, involves fire pits, farm animals, front slides and haunted attractions/trails. You must pick a show time and cannot miss your time. For $30.00, you can get the VIP Fright Night attraction ticket, show up whenever you want and skip all the lines. 

Another haunted house that’s worth the money is Purgatory Haunted House. A cannibalistic hillbilly on the loose, vortex tunnels and tons of voodoo for all ages. Enjoy a shrilltastic night for only $10.00. They have many good reviews and one of the cheaper haunted attraction sites. They’re located at 2508 Lilypad Ct., Marion, SC.
