On February 24, 2021, the first season of “Ginny and Georgia” premiered on Netflix. It was in high demand, and everyone was talking about it, referring to it as a “darker version of “Gilmore Girls.”   I wanted to watch this show because it had an exciting trailer.  Netflix has just premiered, season two of the show, and Netflix will be making a third season. 

Georgia and her two children, Ginny and Austin, moves from Texas to a new town called Wellsbury in Massachusetts.  Ginny isn’t too happy with the move until she meets her handsome neighbor, Marcus.  However, life is not so simple, and as secrets come to light, and things become a bit complicated.  The show does reveal many real-life scenarios and problems that many teens face today.   Many people seem to find this show gripping and are very intrigued by the drama created throughout the entire show. Viewers are finding themselves grasping to see what will happen in season three. 

Addison Morse, a sophomore, shared, “ I found myself on edge with a good chunk of season one. I did feel connections towards the characters. I always felt like the show made me feel on my toes and always had me questioning both the characters and myself.  I think the whole show had amazing plots and plot twists. Personally, the plots containing the murders tended to grab my attention the most.”

I agree with Morse because it also made me feel on my toes and always had me questioning all the characters.

All of the directors and producers of the show did an outstanding job of filming the plot twists to make sure season one and two did flow suitably and in order. 

Personally, season two of the show grabbed my attention the most. I had always been seeking the next episode or what would happen next. Ginny and Georgia did always fight during this season, but towards the end, they had become close and resolved all their problems. 

Morse adds, “I believe season two was better simply because I feel like the viewers were able to connect with all of the characters on deeper levels.”

Many people are very excited to watch season three of the show. I am also very interested and will be binge watching season three when it does come out. 

Morse also mentioned, “ I would like to believe that the third season will continue its legacy of always coming out with a better season than the last. However, I am not sure if the producers can make this happen.” 

Many fans of the drama-filled series “Ginny and Georgia,” are excited to see what will happen in the upcoming season.
