The famous country singer who has all the girls falling, Morgan Wallen, continues to stay on top of the country music game! Wallen has just released a new album with 36 fabulous songs. It’s the best new thing. Everyone was thrilled for this release! 

Wallen is 29-years-old, born and raised in Sneedville, Tennessee and now lives in Knoxville, Tennessee. Wallen has loved playing music from an early age. He was a very committed baseball player in high school and had intentions of playing college but unfortunately was injured and didn’t follow the dream. In 2014 Wallen competed in Season six of the American reality TV show “The Voice,” which sparked the beginning of his music career. Shortly after being eliminated from the show, he signed with Panacea Records. The same year he released his first single ‘Stand Alone.” Wallen was then signed by Big Loud Records in 2016. Later that year his first single for the label ‘The Way I Talk’ was released. In 2018 he released his debut album If I Know Me, whose single ‘”Whiskey Glasses’” made it to the top of Country Airplay in 2019 and was also the Billboard 2019 top Hot Country Song. 

Two years ago Morgan Wallen released the record breaking Dangerous: The Double Album. The album consists of 30 songs, featuring a duet with Chris Stapleton on the song “Only Thing That’s Gone,” as well as Ben Burgess on “Outlaw.” One thing fans might not know is one of the most popular songs on the album, “Cover Me Up,” is actually a cover, originally sung by Jason Isbell. This album was for sure a huge hit.

 Billboard website states, “Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album has broken the record for the most weeks in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart among albums by a singular artist.

Earlier this month, Wallen released his new album, “One Thing at a Time” with 36 tracks and guest appearances from Eric Church, Ernest, and Hardy. Several tracks were released early and immediately had amazing feedback.

According to Music Mayhem, “The songs from One Thing At A Time that have earned a spot in the Top 10 on the chart include: “Don’t Think Jesus” (peak position No.1), “Thought You Should Know” (peak position No.1), “You Proof” (peak position No.1), “One Thing At A Time” (peak position No.2), “Tennessee Fan” (peak position No. 5), “Days That End In Why” (peak position No.7), and “Last Night” (peak position No.7).”

Wallen is set to start his ‘One Night at a Time’ tour in April and continue all the way through October 2023. 

Freshman Megan Baker shares, “I really like Morgan Wallens new album. I would have to say my favorite songs are “Everything I love”, “F150-50”, and “98’ Braves.” Overall, the album is very well rounded and has a mix of every type of song for all situations.” 

As most people know nowadays, TikTok has helped so many people jumpstart their careers and make them stand out. TikTok has definitely helped Wallens’ music career when fans started posting TikToks of them using his songs more and more people would start creating dances to them, making his songs go viral. One thing Wallen is known for is releasing snippets of his songs on either Instagram or TikTok to tease his fans and see their reactions to the songs before he releases the full song. When Wallen does this, fans go crazy begging for Wallen to release the songs, tagging him everywhere and reposting videos to his songs.

Personally, I am and have always been a huge fan of Wallen and his songs, loving his work and looking forward to his song release days. I have  his songs on repeat for weeks straight! I think he has a very fun, outgoing personality that makes his fans love him so much, and I can’t wait to see where the country music world takes him!!!
