The 2025-26 football season was one to remember. Carolina Forest was 10-2 until Summerville took their spot during the third round of playoffs with the final score being 28-29.
Coach Lovette, one of the football coaches at Carolina Forest High School, explained his thoughts about being a high school football coach.
“I enjoy working with others to achieve a goal. I think both sides of the ball complimented each other. They both didn’t think one was more important than the other. Our players were very motivated this season and hungry for success.”
Jaidyn Anderson, a senior, gave his thoughts about this season.
Anderson stated,” My favorite part of football is probably scoring in a big game and sharing memories with all of my teammates. The hardest part for me on the field is building a mentality of waking up for four summers at 8 AM and practicing in the sun for three hours.”
The CFHS football team has worked really hard this season. They wanted to show everyone that they could win and make it to states. Unfortunately, they didn’t make it but they still gave all their power to represent our school.
Roman Fisher, a senior and offensive line backer, explained his thoughts about being a football player during his high school career.
“Something I think carried our team to the playoffs is the team work and brotherhood during each game.”
He also shared his hardest challenge of playing football.
“The hardest challenge of playing football is the mental part of doing it everyday no matter if you fail.”
The CFHS community also played a big role throughout the season. Parents, students, administration and teachers consistently filled the stands every Friday night, cheering the team on no matter the score. The players said that hearing the crowd cheer for them made them want to work hard and play their best. The football coaches also really helped because of their encouragement.
