From missing children to secret experiments, Stranger Things pulls viewers into a small town where nothing is as normal as it seems. With its mix of friendship, suspense, and 80s nostalgia, the series keeps audiences hooked while proving that courage can come from the most unexpected heroes.
Stranger Things, a nostalgic, attention-grabbing sci-fi series, has been in Netflix’s Top 10 ranking since 2016. The fifth season was released on November 26, 2025. This new season has been a fan favorite since the first premiere.
This show is an adventure-packed chronicle about a friend group in Hawkins, Indiana, facing conflicts with the main antagonist, Vecna; a monster that created the alternate dimension called “The Upside Down.” While the friends try to save one of the main characters from The Upside Down; Will Byers, they run into a miraculous telekinetic girl, Eleven, who helps save Will. As they go along the years that are full of trials and tribulations, their crew finally finds Vecna and all the missing children. They stick together as a team to take down Vecna, save the children, and keep Hawkins safe.
Axel Ortiz, a junior, stated, “I thought the show was great. I loved the adventures they had, but I was super sad about the finale. My favorite season was Season 3, as it seemed to be the most adventure packed. I liked the ending, but at the same time it was super sad. I didn’t think that there were any missing parts. I loved Stranger Things and it will never be forgotten.”
Now that Stranger Things is over, I personally think it was an eventful-packed show with a creative plot. The touch of the 80s seems to tie the show all together perfectly with an uncanny feeling of paranormal horror. The plot in Season 5 felt more challenging to understand, due to the scientific explanations and random epiphanies, but Season 5 tied it all in to save Hawkins and the children.
Kaelynn Wagner, a sophomore, expressed, “I thought it was a pretty good show. I liked how the plot developed, but I was kind of disappointed with the ending only because I felt like they left out a lot. All in all, it was a cool show, and I wouldn’t mind watching it again.”
Although the show is over, Stranger Things will still be one the best crowd-pleasers on Netflix. The show has united so many people together throughout the course of 10 years and will always have a positive overview on it.
