Christmas is the most wonderful time of year from the bright decorations and warm hot chocolate; it’s also the best time to watch a Christmas movie with your family. There are many wonderful Christmas movies to the old classics to the new ones that come out every year.
According to IMDb, the top five Christmas movies of 2025 are; It’s The Most Wonderful Time of The Year, Home Alone, Die Hard, A Christmas Carol, and Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.
Ninth through twelfth graders were surveyed on their favorite Christmas movies, and the top movies of CFHS students are Home Alone, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Polar Express, and Elf.
Freshman Mason Howell has one favorite Christmas movie.
“My favorite Christmas movie is Home Alone because when I was little, I used to watch it all the time because it was funny,” shared Howell.
Sophomore Madison Knapp added, “The Polar Express is my favorite Christmas movie. I watch it every year with my family and enjoy all the hard work they do to get to the Polar Express.”
There are many new Christmas movies that have came during the past month, including Jingle Bell Heist, My Secret Santa, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, and The Night My Dad Saved Christmas 2.
“My youngest daughter is 31, and we have a family tradition to watch one new Christmas movie each week, starting the week before Thanksgiving. She was a huge fan of the Jonas Brothers growing up, and I’ll admit I’m a bit partial to them. The music was fantastic, and the storyline is playful and heartfelt with some great family moments and humor. It’s definitely a must for Jonas Brothers fans,” commented Ann Twigg, one of our CFHS teachers.
Many people love Christmas movies because of the comfort, the holiday spirit, and warmth of bundling up near a warm fire and watching a classic Christmas movie. Movies like Home Alone and How the Grinch Stole Christmas are two of the most watched Christmas movies from over the years. Hallmark movies are also really popular because of the predictable happy endings and almost everyone loves a good romance.
There are so many different Christmas movies, and there is not a best one. They are all great! So get some warm hot chocolate, light up your tree and watch your favorite Christmas movie!
