Starting in 1995, Vans Warped Tour has been touring for 23 years. Warped Tour is an avenue for various types of bands to get their start or for famous bands to have a close interaction with their fan base. This phenomenon was founded by Kevin Lyman who has worked with over 1,700 bands since the beginning. However, everything has an end, and 2018 is the final year of their cross-country run.

Beginning in June, there will be 72+ bands traveling over 27 states across the U.S., including a stop in Toronto, Canada. Some bands will only be playing select dates, such as All Time Low, Asking Alexandria, August Burns Red, Beartooth, Black Veil Brides, Bowling for Soup, Falling in Reverse, Frank Turner, The Interrupters, Knocked Loose, Less than Jake, Pennywise, Silverstein, Story of the Year, Sum 41, Taking Back Sunday, Undertooth and The Used.

Other bands include: 3OH!3, The Amity Affliction, As It Is, Assuming We Survive, Broadside, Capstan, Chase Atlantic, Chelsea Grin, Crown the Empire, Dayseeker, Dead Girls Academy, Deez Nuts, Doll Skin, Don Bronco, Everytime Lolie, Farewell Winters, Four Year Strong, Grayscale, Hail the Sun, Harm’s Way, Ice Nine Kills, In Hearts Wake, Issues, Knuckle Puck, Kuldai Khan, Lightburners, The Maine, Makeout, Mayday Parade, Motionless in White, Movements, Mychildren Mybride, Nekrogoblikon, Palaye Royale, Phinehas, Picturesque, Real Friends, Reel Big Fish,  The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Sharptooth, Simple Plan, Sleep on it, State Champs, Story Untold, The Wild Life, Tonight Alive, Trash Boat, Twiztid, Unearth, Wage War, Water Parks, We the Kings and With Confidence. There are also additional special guests to be announced later.

From someone who attended this event in 2015, I know there will be food and other stands filtered around all of the performers. There’s the iconic Monster truck that serves ice-cold Monster energy drinks all day next to the main stages. There are various clothing stands that cater to the event, body painting stands, ice shaving stands, and multiple other booths to discover!

However, tickets are selling out fast! There is less than 3% of tickets left in the entirety of the U.S! Some dates are already sold out, such as Houston, Texas on July 8 and Noblesville, Indiana on July 24. Tickets in all places are almost gone so make sure to buy them quickly! Tickets can be sold at $44 for a seat and $65 for general admission. VIP tickets are sold out.

Sadly, this will be the last year that Warped Tour will go cross country. However, founder Kevin Lymen has proclaimed that they will be preparing for a 25th anniversary celebration in 2019! Even so, it’s important to remember the good times and to create memories wherever you may go.
