On November 11, the City of Myrtle Beach hosted a Hurricane Florence Benefit Concert at the Pelicans Baseball Park from 1pm-12pm.  All of the proceeds from this concert went to help relief efforts for Horry County residents.

The complete lineup included the following musical guests: Love and Theft, Chase Bryant, Michael Ray, Carly Pearce, Josh Philips, Davisson Brothers Band, The Swon Brothers, BlueDog, and a special appearance from Darius Rucker. The artists volunteered to fly in and play at the concert all for free. For many artists, Myrtle Beach is considered a home.

“We wanted to do whatever we could to give back to this community,” stated a member of Love and Theft.

According to Palmetto Event Productions, at least 3,000 people showed up by 6 p.m. The exact number of people and tickets sold was still undetermined.

“We’d like to send our best to the Carolinas and all the great people that come along with it,” stated The Davisson Brothers.

Many people and families placing their time, efforts, and money to make such an amazing impact to many of those who have been displayed and affected by Hurricane Florence. Our community can accomplish so much when we work together. Two spectators shared their experience during this concert.

“It was so cool to see all these artists here singing for a great cause; I had an amazing time,” shared Anna Satterfield.

Makayla Griggs added, “It was good to see the community come together and raise money for those impacted by the storm. I enjoyed this event and I am glad to see all of this is going towards a good cause.”
