The CFHS Bridge Club is a student-led organization dedicated to fostering friendship, understanding, and inclusivity among all students, regardless of background, ability, or experience. Bridge Club’s mission is to bridge differences and build strong, lasting connections between students in General Education and those in Special Education. Through collaborative events, peer mentorship, inclusive activities, and open dialogue, it creates a space where every voice is heard, every student belongs, and every connection matters. Whether you’re passionate about leadership, empathy, or just making new friends, the CFHS Bridge Club is your place to grow, connect, and make a difference.
Randi Aubrey, one of CFHS’s teachers, is one of the sponsors of The Bridge Club.
“The Panthers Bridge Club promotes inclusion, friendship, empathy, and community. Our goal is to “bridge” the gap between students of all abilities by encouraging positive social interactions, respect, and meaningful connections throughout the school,” shared Aubrey.
The Bridge Club has an executive board that includes our co-founders/presidents, a secretary, a fundraising chair, and a social media coordinator. Anyone at CF is welcome to join the club!
Senior Gavin Hart, one of the leaders, shares, “When you join a club that brings general and special education students together, you help create an inclusive and empathetic community. You build collaboration skills, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. You learn to communicate with clarity and respect, even when perspectives differ. You strengthen a culture of unity, belonging, and mutual understanding that benefits everyone.”
During the meetings, there is planning and organizing inclusive events, creating activities that bring General Education and Special Education students together, and updating everyone on different events happening around campus. The club meets on the first and last Wednesday every month in A 102 during lunch.
Another leader from The Bridge Club is Camren Therrien.
“This club is important because it helps bridge the gap between general and special education students. Everyone deserves to feel included, and through our activities, we get to learn from each other and celebrate what makes us unique.”
Participating in this wonderful organization helps members to build friendships, bridge differences, and have long-lasting connections. Anyone can be in The Bridge Club, so come on and join in. All students, no matter of skills, background, ability, or differences, are included.
