Zack Bryan is Back!

Zack Bryan is Back!

Zach Bryan, an American singer and songwriter ,released his fourth studio album in August 2023. Bryan is a part of the country-rock genre. Typically, his music is poetic and relates to his grief and loss. Many people enjoy his music due to the fact that it comes straight from the heart, and it’s not overly-produced.

His new self-titled album holds 16 songs and features guest appearances by War and Treaty, Sierra Ferrell, Kacey Musgraves and the Lumineers. Ten of the songs that are featured on this album had short previews that were shared by Bryan on July 25, 2023. He took to social media to share some of his thoughts on the album.

Bryan stated, “I’ve got no grand explanation for these songs, I got no riddle in the reasoning behind writing them…I just wrote some poems and songs I want to share because I think they’re special. Some are heavy, some are hopeful, but more than anything, what’s most important to me is that they’re all mine. If people listen to it, I’ll be grateful; if people don’t, I’ll still be grateful because I got the chance in this life to be original when it mattered.”

The album released on August 25, 2023, and it became the number one album on “Billboard’s 200” chart by September 3. This was Bryan’s first album that reached number one. Also, the song “I Remember Everything,” featuring Musgraves hit number one of “Billboard’s Hot 100.”

According to the “New York Times,” the album had an equivalent of 200,000 sales in the United States. That also includes the 223 million streams and 17,000 copies that were sold as digital album downloads. His album also has the fifth-largest debut streaming week.

Peyton Tracy, a sophomore, says “His new album is awesome! I think that his songs were very well thought out and many can relate to.”

Along with the release of his self-titled album, he will embark on The Quittin Time Tour throughout 2024. The tour is set to begin on March 6, 2024 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, and there will be two show dates in Greenville, South Carolina on May 5 and 6. Tickets went on sale September 8, 2023 and have since sold out.

Senior Sydney Sparks has previously attended one of Bryan’s shows.

Sparks shared, “I do not normally like concerts, but the environment of his show was different than other concerts. I would definitely recommend his concerts to anyone!”

Needless to say, the release of Bryan’s album and tour was a success. Fan’s were not disappointed with the release!
